Mr. Herman Durias, Assistant Principal

Mr. Durias is a lifelong resident of Mount Dora, Florida where he attended Milner- Rosenwald Academy and Mount Dora High School.  He earned a Bachelor’s degree in finance from Florida State University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Barry University.

Mr. Durias began his career with Lake County Schools in 1994 as an Exceptional Student Education teacher at Mount Dora High School.  While still there, he was promoted to dean of students and served as a mentor and coach, working closely with  parents and the community to form relationships ensuring student success.  In 1998, he was promoted to assistant principal at South Lake High School.  He later transferred to  Leesburg High, and most recently completed another eight year stint at Mount Dora High School.

Mr. Durias is very excited to be a part of the Mustang family at Eustis Middle School.  He believes there is nothing our students can’t accomplish; their potential is endless!  With the unmatched talent of our teachers, support staff, and parents, our students will be successful!
