The EMS 2023-2024 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will take place on May 21st at 10:00am at LifePointe Church.  Please click the links below to access important documents pertaining to our 8th grade promotion.  We cannot wait to celebrate with our 8th grade students and families!

5/15/24: This is the call-out that was sent to parents regarding 8th Grade Promotion:

Good Afternoon Mustangs, this is your proud principal, Mr. Spencer, with a Eustis Middle School update.  This message is a promotion update for the parents of our 8th grade students.

The prearranged absence form is due this Friday (5/17) to Mrs. Dustin at the back desk. Students without this form turned in will not have the ability to leave from the church after promotion practice and promotion.  They will also not be excused from attending school next week on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (5/22, 5/23, 5/24).

The two tickets for promotion will be passed out at the promotion rehearsal on Monday, May 20th. Students must be passing their classes to receive their tickets on Monday. We have no extra tickets to give out. 

Promotion practice will be on Monday, May 20th. Students will show up to school as normal and walk to the church with their first period teacher. Practice begins at 10:00am will be done around 11:00am.  Students may be checked out at the church.

Tuesday, May 21st will be the promotion ceremony. The doors will be open starting at 9:30am at LifePointe church and the ceremony will start at 10:00am. You will need a ticket to enter this event. Students will show up to school as normal and walk to the church with their first period teacher. Students must be within Lake County dress code to participate in the promotion ceremony. Students will be allowed to leave the event with the adult specified on the prearranged absence form after the entire ceremony is complete.

The promotion dance will take place in our cafeteria Tuesday evening (5/21) from 6:00pm-8:00pm.  Only students who purchased a ticket to attend the dance may attend.

Parents, in order for a student to participate in our 8th grade promotion and promotion activities, they must be passing all of their classes, so please encourage our students to continue to work hard in all of their classes.  If you have any questions about our 8th grade promotion, please reach out to our 8th grade guidance counselor: Leanne Roopra.  We are looking forward to celebrating 3 amazing years with all of our 8th grade students and families at our upcoming 8th grade promotion!  Thank you for listening and I hope everyone has a wonderful evening.

 

4/17/24: This is the call-out that was sent to parents regarding 8th Grade Promotion:

Good Afternoon Mustangs, this is your proud principal, Mr. Spencer, with a Eustis Middle School update.  This message is for the parents of our 8th grade students.

Yesterday during lunch, all of our 8th grade students received information and documents about our 8th grade promotion that will be held at LifePointe Church on May 21st beginning at 10:00am.  They received a Promotion Information Document, Pre-Arranged Absence Slip Form, and 8th Grade T-Shirt Order Form.  The Pre-Arranged Absence Slip Form must be signed by a parent or guardian and returned to the school in order for students to check out early after the promotion rehearsal and/or promotion ceremony.  The Pre-Arranged Absence Slip Form must also be signed in order for students to be excused from attending school on May 22nd, May 23rd, and/or May 24th.  We will have holding stations set up for any 8th grade students who attend school during the regular school day during the week of May 20th-May 24th.  

Our 8th grade Class of 2028 t-shirts will be on sale through next week Friday (April 26th).  Orders must be made in cash only and can be returned to Ms. Dustin at the back desk. Our 8th grade t-shirts can be worn at promotion, but are not required.  These t-shirts are also available for purchase to any of the parents and family members of our 8th grade students.
