Welcome to Cecil E. Gray Middle School!

Located in Groveland, Florida, Cecil E. Gray Middle School serves approximately 1,000 students in grades 6-8. Our Gators thrive in a challenging, college and career-focused learning environment, supported by caring educators who prioritize innovative teaching, authentic literacy, and student-centered excellence. We are committed to fostering a safe and supportive school community where every student can grow and succeed.

At Gray Middle, students can access a comprehensive and enriched curriculum, including numerous advanced, high school credit, and career-focused courses. Continuing in the 2024-25 school year, we are proud to expand our Cambridge Pre-AICE program to include 6th and 7th grades. This rigorous program nurtures curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for lifelong learning, preparing students for success in high school and beyond through the Cambridge AICE pathway.

We are also proud to be recognized by the FLPBIS Project as a BRONZE PBIS Model School for successfully implementing the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework. PBIS is an evidence-based, three-tiered system that enhances student outcomes by integrating data, systems, and best practices. This achievement reflects our commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, supportive school culture where all students can thrive.
